Vision Wealth Management Inc. is located in the Historic Heilner House.  It was purchased and renovated by Sam and Marcy Haines in 2005 as a locale for Vision Wealth Management Inc.  The Heilner House symbolizes many of the values of Vision Wealth Management Inc. such as excellence, consistency and attention to detail.

Built in 1887, it has been referred to as Baker City’s only mansion.  It is the Second Empire style of architecture and features a mansard roof with ornamental cresting, pediment dormers, overhanging eaves with decorative brackets and bay windows.  Handcrafted spindles and brackets in the Eastlake style decorate the porch.  It caused quite a stir during construction and was featured in an 1882 edition of West Shore Magazine.

It stayed in the Heilner Family until 1980 and later fell into extreme disrepair.  The Haines’s undertook an extensive restoration from foundation to roof top.  The spacious rooms and floor plan were maintained with as much of the original features as possible.  Highlights in the interior include large rooms, original 4 foot chandelier medallions and 18 foot ceilings along with 12 foot double doors in the conference room.

The Heilner House sits on half  a city block and features a classic Victorian Garden, designed by Master Gardner, Ann Mehaffey.  Ann’s gardens have been featured in Sunset Magazine publications. The garden has 4 quadrants surrounding a fountain.  Plantings include lilacs, lavender, salvia, lambs ear, perovskia, echinacea, artemisia, ornamental grass and shrub roses.

The Haines’ also enjoy hosting various charitable events at the Heilner House, including such organizations as the Crossroads Carnegie Arts Center , the Billie Ruth Foundation and Casa.  If you know of a charitable organization that would like to be considered for an event at the Heilner House please contact Marcy Haines at 541-523-0900.
